 How You Can Help

Toy Donations

•Host a toy drive in your office, church, school, or neighborhood to collect new, unwrapped toys.

•Donate toys online by going to our Amazon wish list at . Order from the list and the toys will ship directly to our Workshop.

• Sponsor a family in need by buying gifts that fulfill their basic needs and wishes. Family sponsorship packages include age, gender, ethnicity, and a wish list. We request that you spend $50-75 per family member to make their holiday wishes come true.

•Host a sponsor-a-family drive to collect gifts for multiple families in need. A great way for groups to give back to your community.

• Sponsor the children in a Catholic Charities Program. We’ll send you first names, genders, and ages of the children you sponsor.

•You also have the option to host a Christmas party with the children in the program you sponsor – a great way to celebrate the holidays with your coworkers, students, or parishioners!

•Already hosting a toy drive or sponsoring families, and want to get more involved? Help sort toys and package gifts at Santa’s Workshop!

•Sponsor a shopping trip to help us start this year’s Celebration of Giving with a Workshop full of toys to deliver to kids. We provide the wish list, and you provide the funds and shoppers! This is a fun team building opportunity for your business!

Lake County Christmas Gift Program Searching for Distribution Center

This Christmas, thousands of people are counting on Catholic Charities to help make Christmas wishes come true. Every year, more than 14,000 children and their families are blessed by the generosity of residents, businesses, community groups, and parishes who provide gifts and necessities during the holiday season. The Catholic Charities Christmas Gift program, a beloved tradition in the Lake County area, is now in search of a donated warehouse from which to operate the distribution operation. The program needs a donated warehouse space of approximately 50,000 square feet in the Waukegan area. Catholic Charities will pay the utilities cost and insurance and will assume liability. The distribution phase runs from November 15 through December 31.

For more information on donating a warehouse space, contact Jim Wogan at or (847) 782-4210.
