 About Expand

Holy Family Villa is a licensed skilled care facility in the Catholic tradition, located in Palos Park. Its history began in 1947 when it was founded by the Lithuanian Roman Catholic Charities, and primarily funded by Chicago's Lithuanian parishes, as a home for the aging. The Sisters of Saint Casimir served as the first administrators of the home. In 2017, Holy Family Villa celebrates 70 years of services to seniors.

Today, Holy Family Villa is administered by Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Chicago. The home is nestled on 50 acres surrounding the Cook County Forest Preserves and shares a campus with the Bishop Timothy. Lyne Residence for retired Archdiocesan priests, St. Frances of Assisi Residence for independent seniors, and he Poor Clare Monastery of the Immaculate Conception home for cloistered nuns.

Residents of Holy Family Villa receive care and services that enhance their lives by promoting physical, mental, emotional, social and spiritual well-being in a home-like environment Within the Christian atmosphere of Holy Family Villa, the philosophy of the "wholly family" is embraced and each resident truly becomes a member of the larger, faith based community.

Thanks to a generous gift from Marie & George Quinlan, a renovation and expansion of Holy Family Villa began in 2012. To meet the ever-growing needs of the senior community, the expansion of the 99-bed facility includes 20 residential units for 30 residents, the Monsignor John A. Kuzinskas Pavilion, therapy and rehabilitation center, resident dining room, resident lounges, an ice cream parlor and more. The on-site chapel has been beautifully renovated and expanded.
